Kim,

These are quite often seen in some of the pregnant mothers, due to haemodynamic readjustments during pregnancy. There could be some missed beats or ectopics ( extra heart beats) causing palpitations etc. Nothing to worry, but if it's worsening and you are having breathing problem, can ask your Doc to have a look.
