bleeding and cramping at 10 and 1/2 wksFrom: heather (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 31 Jan 2000 20:04:38 -0600 (CST)
I am 10 and 1/2 weeks along in my 3rd pregnancy. (I have a daughter who is 2 and miscarried at 4 weeks last august). I had an u/s on 1/5 which showed a strong heartbeat and normal uterus etc. It was determined I was about 6 and 1/2 weeks then. I had bit of yeast infections my ob said to use monistat 3-day. I used it on Friday night and Saturday night. Sunday morning I woke up with some mild cramps and some very light, light pink spotting in the cream that came out when I went to the bathroom. I continued cramping, but no more spotting. I felt better by Sunday night so I figured I would use the final day of medicine. I woke up with more intense cramping and a little more darker pink spotting. I called my Ob and they had me in this am. I heard a strong heartbeat by doppler right away and they decided since we heard the HB no u/s was needed. They said the bleeding and cramping was probably my cervix being irritated by the monistat. Well later today I have had more bleeding, now bright red. Not enough to go through a minipad, but enough to have my concerns. Still same kind of cramping. I have an appt. to see my Ob again on Wednesday for my regular appt. and if the bleeding continues I will call again tomorrow. My question is could I be miscarrying even though we heard a strong heartbeat today and I'm already 10 and 1/2 weeks? What else would cause the bleeding and cramping?? I still have other signs of preg. hungry, breasts hurt and very tired.
