Re: Miscarriage PreventionFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netMon, 31 Jan 2000 12:19:46 EST
In a message dated 1/31/00 10:53:26 AM, amitsen@satyam.net.in writes: <<I am 30 years old and have had an eptopic pregnancy and a miscarriage at 11 weeks all in the last two years. I am currently trying to become pregnant again (this is the first month). I have been searching high and low for all of the information that might help me prevent another heartbreak for me, my hisband and our four year old daughter who really wants a brother! I teach school and we have four teachers who are pregnant right now and it is like being slapped in the face each time I walk in the door of the school! Any advice will be appreciated!>> I am the one who wrote that original message. I am happy to be able to tell you that sitting on my lap is my 4 month old daughter. I got pregnant shortly after writing that message and immediately consulted my perinatologist. He put me on progesterone suppositories (my levels were borderline low) and saw me weekly for the first trimester keeping a close watch. Everything went very smoothly and my daughter Allison is healthy and beautiful. Good luck and keep trying!! Maybe see a fertility specialist and definately a perinatologist (a high risk pregnancy specialist) once you do become pregnant is my advice. There is hope for you, I know your what you are going through but am glad I didn't give up (I did consider it) for fear of more heartbreak. Amanda
