If you don't have a period by about the 3 months mark and aren't pregnant, we usually give progesterone to jusmp start your periods -- we don't usually give medicine to induce ovulation until we prove that you aren't ovulating over several months. If you did need medicine to induce ovulation, Clomid is the one most commonly used.
