breach babyFrom: Lisa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 25 Jan 2000 15:50:17 -0600 (CST)
I am 41 years old. I am 34.5 weeks into my pregnancy. I found out today that my baby is breach. My last baby was born vaginally, but the one before that was cesarean, because he was breach and the doctors were unable to turn him. I have a fibroid near the cesarean incision. I desparately want to deliver this child vaginally. Is it possible to turn the baby with the fibroid and incision? What percentage of babies who turn breach at this stage of pregnancy turn back over on their own? If I have to have a cesarean, what are my chances of retaining my uterus intact, given the other problems. (I also don't want a hysterectomy!) Any help would be greatly appreciated!
