I gave birth in May 1999 and my body still doesn't feel fully back to normal. Is this very common? I know women who are also (like me) breastfeeding and had a vaginal delivery who say they feel fine within a couple of weeks after the birth. I did have a difficult delivery but why do I still feel not quite back to 'normal'? For example, the outer muscles beside my vagina still feel a bit sore.
