Causes of miscarriageFrom: Kelly (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 17 Jan 2000 10:04:35 -0600 (CST)
I recently suffered a miscarriage at 7 weeks and had a D & C. Unfortunately there was no tissue in my uterus. The doctor believed that I had already passed it. Could this miscarriage have been caused by low progesterone or was it probably chromosomal at this stage? My LP is always 12 days which points me towards the chromosome theory rather than the hormonal problem. Also at what week of gestation does the placenta take over the hormone production? I usually ovulate at day 11 in my cycle. Is there any chance that I could be producing immature eggs which could contribute to a miscarriage? I have a 6 year old daughter and have had no prior problems. Thank you for your time.
