I had a D&C in Sept of 1998. I had no bleeding, no cramping, nothing after my D&C. As a matter of fact, I had a hard time remembering I even had it done (except that I had lost my precious baby during this time) :(

My period started at exactly 5 weeks post D&C and was very unusual. I bled very heavily for 10 days and then didn't have another period for 6 weeks. It took me 3 months for my body to return to normal.

What is expected after a D & C? How long does the bleeding last? Is it different for each person? When can you expect your period to return? I understand that there may not be a "general" answer, but I'd just like to hear from anyone who experienced this and how you fared after it.
