Alternative med turning breech?From: Jennifer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 5 Jan 2000 12:53:10 -0600 (CST)
Does anyone have any experience/information with turning a breech positioned baby using alternative medicine techniques? I've found AMA and other journal articles regarding correcting malposition of fetus by electro-acupuncture, a technique called moxibustion and application of a paste to acupressure points. I'm curious if anyone has performed/had theses practices performed and their experience. I had my first child via cesarean, and suffered severe complications including peritonitis, severe scarring and three subsequent abdominal surguries for infection and later adhesions and bowel blockage. I am in my 24th week with my second pregnancy and the baby is still breech at this point. If it doesn't turn I would like to try all measures to avoid another cesarean. Any info or experiences would be helpful. PS - I'm not sure that external versioning would work, as I have a bicornuate uterus. Thanks.
