Re: period questionFrom: Barbara (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 29 Sep 2003 21:13:43 -0500 (CDT)
Hello Joy, I think(just my opinion as a woman with pcos),you can have periods with pcos.It may mean your hormones are balancing out. I too,get periods every, single month again. This is a wax and wane thing for me.I went five months this last year without a period and now I am regular again.I had four regular periods and I ovulate usually on the fourteenth day now.Actually,I just finished my period and started ovulating now..so that means that I will menestrate again in approximately two weeks, which then means I am having irregular menses...this has been an ongoing problem for me all my life.I never carried a baby to full term but went through several miscarriages. I think that diet,medications,exercise..can somehow address the root cause of pcos. When I eat properly and am not under an abnormal amount of stress..no carbs..exercise.take my supplements..I get periods...then something just seems to trigger...and pow...I get a myriad of symptoms related to pcos.
