Re: For Marie//From: Barbara (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 29 Sep 2003 21:03:25 -0500 (CDT)
Hello Marie: Wow,this is way over my head,lol!-I don't understand all this. I am just going to print this out and do a bit of research...then ask my doctor about these tests.I had been in the hospital for observation in internal medicine and immunosystem deficiency.I can honestly tell u that none of these tests were done because I do have a file about three feet high with documented abnormalites..none of the afformentioned tests had been done to my knowledge. First,If u don't mind-I would like to ask you about what a couple different abbreviations stand for. I was told I had drug induced lupus firstly...I also had a rare form of diabetes insipidus in 1999 where I could not stop urinating.I thought for sure I was going to die.The endocrinologist at the time(snooty witch),said it was no big deal because it cured up on it's own.My question to her was why I got it in the first place. This was long before my diagnosis of PCOS,but when I was getting strange symptoms where I was actually referred for a psychological assessment...proved I was not crazy..my GAf or whatever was well above normal and the shrink seen my purple, swollen feet and legs..this cannot be in one's head.I had pains in my legs that I could not explain them properly,or they just didn't like my explanation of saying they were throbbing, puslating to my heart and icy cold like when one is freezing.....I was unable to sweat...nobody believed me.....I know now there is a disease(cannot remember )where one does not have the ability to sweat.I had absolutely no saliva...thus recently I had 13 grand of dental work done...I just had feelings of my whole body in a surge of adrenaline..pounding heart...not for an hour..but all day......I would heat up like a stove.I still have those moments. The symptoms I have just don't fit neatly into a box of one illness..or do they?I get extremely hyper..but no energy to follow through on things.Showering has become my two daily work outs of the day with some walking.I feel I have the strength,,but when I start doing something..I just near collapse..and have collapsed on many occassions.I don't know what is the matter with my body. OKay-here's the questions:
> NO PROBLEM-I APPRECIATE YOU TAKING THE TIME TO HELP ME!!
>Adrenal insufficiency can also be, adrennal dysfunction, there is but yEAH,I FIGURED THAT OUT TOO BUT NOBODY WOULD LISTEN TO ME. ACTUALLY IT IS MY CORTISOL LEVELS..IS THAT THE SAME AS ADRENAL INSUFFICIENCY?IS DHEA DIFFERENT.MY DHEA'S ARE ELEVATED ALL THE TIME.
Most likely, the answer is in your chart, your doctor
>should check out all adverse/non-reactions to Rx, it is just as YES,ALL MY PROBLEMS STARTED AFTER USING MEDICATION....LUVOX....THEY PUT ME ON IT WHEN I FIRST STARTED FALLING AT WORK...THEY RULED OUT MS....THEN SAID IT WAS STRESS AND THAT I WAS COMPULSING ABOUT MY WEAK LEGS...AFTER LUVOX AND ZOLOFT AND A FEW MORE TRIALS WHICH MADE ME WORSE...I STARTED DEVELOPING HEART PROBLEMS...THE DIABETES INSIPIDUES AND MORE...
also have you have an immune work up, a really good one, some APA's
>can cause some strange things, and drug induced are different that other I WOULD IMAGINE I HAD,BUT NOT A THOUROUGH ONE.WHAT ARE APA'S? WHAT IS RSA(9)? WHAT IS A CROSS REACTIVE APANTIBODY FOR HCG AND WHAT IS HCG???SORRY FOR MY ILLITERACY HERE?
>Have you had Prednesone or IVIg????? DON'T SEE THAT IN MY FILE AND DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS
>If you have drug induced lupus it's a horse of a different color
>There is the whole complex issue of CYP450 interactions.....
