Hi I had to respond to your e-mail because I know exactly how you're feeling. I too bled for several months and had no insurance. I finally got basic health(which you should try to get)and had a d and c and hysteroscopy. I bled for 10 months and I was so miserable. First of all when making a doctor's appointment ask the receptionist if that doctor is skilled in pcos. Also there is alot of good info on line, print out all the important things you think a doctor would need to know. You probably should be put on glucophase. I have the facial hair, the round middle, cysts on ovaries, weight gain, and period problems and I would get sick alot and felt just lousy. Well the doc's first put me on metformin and that made me so sick I had to stop it. That's the generic for glucophase. Well I went to see my endo and he put me on extended release glucophase and It's been a month and I have lost 17 lbs and have only really changed my amounts that I eat. I feel way better. I'm on meds for cholesterol and blood pressure too. See my pcos went into diabetes and metabolic syndrome. So it's so important to find a doctor that knows something about pcos and an endo is the best way to go. If you want you can e-mail me at gloomygrumpalump@yahoo.com Michelle
