DId this doctor do any test other than blood glucose and testosterone?? Insulin levels are far more helpful in testing for PCOS than are blood glucose. I am assuming that this is a OBGYN and not a endocrinologists. Have you considered seeing an endo?? PCOS is not a reproductive issue rather one of hormonal imbalance that effects reproduction. This is what endocrinologists specialize in.

Click here for info on what test should be done and what levels should be http://www.inciid.org/faq/pcos.html

I find this site very helpful. It is a little dated and the connection between PCOS and insulin resistance isnt as clarified as doctors seem to now feel that it is. IT also talks about hypothyroidism and PCOS not being connected. I find it hard to accept as mere coincedence that you are 4 times more likely to have hypothyroidism if you have PCOS than in the general population. But beyond those 2 points it is a wonderful sorce of information.
