Char- You are not alone! I have been trying to take glucophage for three months now. Whenever I take it I feel sick with stomach pains and diareah. I am undergoing infertility treatment and the doctor wishes that I take clomid and glucophage. I am almost at my witts end with the glucophage, so I know where you are comming from! They had me reduce my intake, but that hasn't helped yet. I started with half of a 800mg. pill, and was told to increase by half of a pill every week. I finaly made it to 2 whole pills, one in the morning and one at night. I felt awefull! The first nurse told me that it was normal. But I called again and spoke with another nurse and she told me to back off a half a pill at a time and give it a week at that dose. I am now down to one half a day! Whats next? I don't know. But ask your doctor and if you don't like the first answer, look for another. Anyway, your not alone! At Wed, 24 Sep 2003, Char wrote: >
