I have heard that Sprionolactone will give baby either deformaties or worse when pregnant. Thats why I stopped taking it before I get Pregnant. I am tring now and STOPPED totally. Plus I don't see what good it did for me. Its supposed to help with unwanted hairs on my chin etc.. Nothing changed. So why take something that could hurt my baby IF I get preg while on it or something that doesn't do any good. I hope all this helps. You can find most of these herbs in Lowes Foods if your town has them or GNC.

I have done some research on herbs. Zinc is important for the synthesis of hormones and enzymes essential to childbirth -- especially estrogen-dependent functions such as expulsion of the placenta and proper contraction of uterine muscles during birth -- as well as for immune-system development. A number of studies around the world have found that zinc supplementation has reduced complications of pregnancy. Several studies are under way that will soon help define the impact of improved zinc status on pregnant women.

Folic acid aids in the prevention of birth defects called neural tube defects (NTDs) such as spina bifida (failure of closure of a portion of the spinal canal) and anencephaly (failure of development of the brain).

Saw Palmetto-An herb that has been found helpful by some women with PCOS in treatment of thinning hair and reducing excess hair growth.

Dong Quai (Chinese Angelica) root can have a beneficial effect on the female reproductive system

Black Cohosh [Glandular] has been valued by many societies for its nutritional support of the female reproductive system. Modern natural-health enthusiasts use it to nourish the female glandular system as it supports the body's efforts to balance hormone levels.

Alfalfa: Alkalizes and detoxifies the body (making the body more sperm and estrogen friendly, thus improving cervical mucus!). Acts as a diuretic, eases inflammation, lowers cholesterol, balances hormones and promotes pituitary gland function. Contains Alpha-carotene, B-complex vitamins, calcium, chlorophyll, copper, essential amino acids, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, protein, sodium, sulfur, zinc, vitamins A, C, D, E, and K. and because of it's chlorophyll content Alfalfa purifies the blood.
