Metformin/Glucophage is a medication that helps both Insulin Resistance or Diabetes.

Insulin resistance is very hard to prove sometimes. Have you had all the tests available? Fasting insulin blood test, C-Peptide blood test, and Insulin-Glucose Tolerance Test. Do you ever feel hypoglycemic and some point during the day?...this can also be an outward sign of IR.

Personally, I would never take a medication I did not need.
