Hi all my PCOS friends... I had an abortion almost 2 and a 1/2 years ago and immediately i was on OCPs. While i was on OCPs i had higher BP and so my doc(internal medicine) suggested and gave me another brand of OCP and again another brand like that and she finally told me that its best for me to stop takin OCPs as iam not out of my BP problem for a long time and which may lead to other severe problems. So i planned the pregnancy last year ie Aug 2002 and missed my cycles continously for 3 months and thought pregnant & went for confirmation. But my doc told me that i wasn't pregnant and i better see an OBGyn as they will know what's actually the problem is. But all the docs whom i saw gave me some tabs for my periods and somehow in 5 to 10 days i used to get periods whenever i used those tabs. But mean while i observed iam having odd symptoms as hair on my cheeks, lots of acne, some dark spots on my body...like that. Immediately i saw a doc and explained all what happened and she performed series of tests on me and she finally told me 6 months back that iam having PCOS. So immediately i started exercising regularly (previously i used to exercise very rarely), stopped the high carb in-take and i was on glucophage. Finally 1 week back i tested for pregnancy(as i missed my last month cycle) and it was positive. So finally now iam pregnant. But now me and my husband have some hard family problems(we'll be divorced soon)and i think i cannot go thru this pregnancy for which i know i worked a lot and waited a lot. It is very difficult in our country to be a single mother and moreover the entire society will treat them much less than untouchables. Besides that, i had dreamt for more than 3 yrs to enjoy the blessing of motherhood. Now i dont know what to decide and that's why this big message. Iam scared to have an abortion now and that i may never get pregnant in the future as still iam havin PCOS and iam on glucophage. And i read that if i go thru this preganancy and have a child i may be out of this PCOS problem and the future preganancies will be more easy. I want to confirm whether this is true. So before going for abortion, i want to confirm whether it is good for me(as iam still having PCOS and still on glucophage) to have an abortion. And if i get thru this abortion now, will i ever get pregnant again in the future? My future is totally dependant on your advice...so plz my friends, tell me your advice and i would appreciate if you can answer me as quickly as possible before the things get away from my hands.
