negative ovulatin test but ?ovulationFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 16 Sep 2003 14:17:45 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, I saw several posts about ovulation predictor tests and am curious if there are any other women who have experienced what I have. I have been on metformin for 2 months and had 2 periods (cycle length 21 days) and just started using the ovulation predictor kit this month. I started on day 5 since my cycles seem to be short and yesterday was day 12 but the test is always negative. The day before yesterday and yesterday I had terrible pelvic pain and soreness that was on the right side when I pressed on my lower abdomen. I couldn't even walk it was so painful. In the past when I have ovulated (with fertility drugs) I felt the pain of ovulation that seemed like what I had yesterday but I am not sure. Today it is suddenly gone. I have had pelvic soreness in that location before but with much less intensity without ovulation ( I have a history of pelvic floor muscle dysfunction that acts up occasionally and sometimes feels like that). But again the O predictor has been negative. Anyone out there ovulate with a negative test? I did see one post of someone who said they did and I am curious if any one else has had this. any other thoughts? Thanks in advance.
