Re: Buying drugs onlineFrom: Lea (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 12 Sep 2003 17:56:04 -0500 (CDT)
This is a topic that comes up from time to time: #1 It is ILLEGAL to order/sell prescription drugs without a valid prescription whether on-line or not. #2 Many pharma companies have stopped shipping drugs to stores near the American/Canadian border because they are losing money on Americans coming to Canada and buying their drugs cheaper. #3 If you order drugs (prescription or not) on-line from a Canadian pharmacy you will have to make sure all of your customs forms are filed correctly. #4 ANY on-line pharmacy should be treated the same as any mail-order or on-line shopping outlet. BUYER BEWARE. Research the company and research the products. #5 You can and should file grievances with the insurance company and your doctor can and should file one as well on your behalf. I've been through a similar situation and it took some doing but I did finally convince them to approve and pay.
