Thanks for the link, Jessica. There was good info there.

If a person has diabetes, though, it is extremely important to take your medications as directed by your doctor. It would not be smart to stop taking meds, just cause they might tend to cause weight gain. It is far wiser to treat the diabetes, take your medications responsibly, and use diet and exercise to prevent the weight gain. I myself would much rather be a little more overweight, than to possibly face blindness, amputations, and heart disease or the other gruesome complications of diabetes that you can get if you don't take care of it.
