I have hidradenosis (sp??) and that is what they look like. It is infected sweat glands. They are pretty much boils that take a few days to come to a head and then take a day or two to drain. They are very very sore. They come up under the arms, in the groin area, etc....But I also have dermatitis occassionally. These are like pimples and I get them all up my arms, on my breast, on my stomach, etc....Some of these get very very sore and get to be huge redrings around the pimple. They look almost like infected hairs. I use a lotion for these, I think the name of it is cleocin (sp??). There is also a medicated soap you can buy over the counter called hibiclense (sp??). I know drug stores have it, Walmart might, but I am not sure. It comes in a blue bottle and it is a redish/pinkish soap. You bathe like you normally do, then bathe with it. It really helps me.
