The time it takes is different with everyone. I was started in December 2003 on 1000 mg for a week then 1500 mg for one week and finally 2000 mg. It was difficult at first, I had to be carful not to eat too much dairy or sugar as these foods kept me running to the bathroom and too much bread, pasta or starches would make me sick to my stomach. These side affects are almost gone although I watch my carbs but if I do cheat and eat too much I get sick.

How long has it been since you have been on the full dosage of 1000 mg?

For me the timing for it to start working is as follows, I had more energy in about a week after getting to the full dosage. I go my period in about two weeks after the full dosage and it took about four months for them to get regular. The weight loss has been gradual; I have lost 54 lbs since starting the treatment. The rest has been a slow but steady improvement, my testosterone is slowly decreasing, the hair is slowing but still there and the acne comes and goes.
