Tweezing Vs. ShavingFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 9 Sep 2003 22:00:59 -0500 (CDT)
Hello There, I have PCOS and yes I have hair all over and am losing the hair on my head. This is tramatizing to me, it's all I think about lately. I'm married, my husband loves me dearly but I can tell my self esteem has an effect on the way he sees me. He doesn't say anything but I know he looks at my face and sees the hair removal attempts. This PCOS is awful. I'm 21, just started Diane-35 and Spironolactone. I want to use Met but can't afford it yet. Well here's my questions: I usually shave everyday(I hate it)everyone wonders why I spend hours in the bathroom with the door locked. I bleach the sides of my face, it helps but it seems the few hairs I have tweezed on the sides of my face are thicker now and won't respond to the bleach. Can tweezing make it grow in as a terminal when it was blond before? Have any of you found that tweezing made a once light hair turn dark and thick? I shave my neck and chin where the hair is very black. Should I start tweezing it while on the spiro to see better hair results? It would probably take 4 hours to tweeze but if the results were there it would be worth it to me. Any insight would be great.
