Hi Kim,

You are well on your way to clearing the path to conception. I do wonder if you have taken note of the interests of the RE.. who is determined to treat you like a fertility problem was your main concern..

If you have not had swab taken of your vaginal secretions and had this wiewed immediately under the doc's office microscope, then you will not know if visible yeast is present. If white blood cells are seen in high numbers, that is a sign of an untreated infection and further blood testing should be done.

If you are also chronically tired, blood tests for a hidden infection are worthwhile.. Sed Rate, C Reactive Protein, Antinuclear Antibody, White Blood Cell Count and Rheumatoid Factor are the main ones. If the numbers are elevated, it is justifiable to be put on a course of antibiotics to lower the numbers. Some bacteria evade detection by living within host cells and your doc must know that a clear lab culture does not rule out an infection with Mycoplasma, Ureaplasma or Chlamydia. A doc with experience will often prescribe an 8 day course of Zithromax to cover these bacteria even if a test is inconclusive.

You could be treated for PCOS by an MD with diabetes experience, since it is a very related condition that responds in the same way to refined carb avoidance, exercise, and calorie reduction.

Good luck... Please post a reply so I will know that you read this. :) Ron ------------------------------------------------------
