Wow, Congrats to those who are now pg.....I myself just found out a few days ago that I am pregnant also. My husband and I have been trying to have a baby since our miscarriage three years ago. We had been charting our temps, on 1000mg of Metformin, and just hoping for the best. My doctor didn't want to do anything extreme until we went a little longer on the Met. Well after 8 months of trying on the Met, we started to look into adoption, and trying to talk our doctor into some more fertility type procedures. I had decided to go on the Atkins diet to lose weight, since I I had heard it was a great diet for women with PCOS and IR. I had lost about 5lbs and was on my way to a leaner me. We didn't pay much attention to my temps this month, used lube during sex, and only had sex once around my ovulation. Well after I noticed that my period was late, I took a HPT, and BAM, it was postive. I totally was in shock, I thought it would never happen again for us. I can't believe that losing 5lbs did it for me. I am still on the Met and will continue it until I am at least in the 2nd trimester. I would like to stay on it, but we will see. May be a huge battle with the doc.

I hope all of you out there who want to get pg try stuff like the Atkins...I can't believe what a difference it made!!

Good luck all!! Amber
