Reply: Char: "Re: another endo ?" I have a question, regarding endo's... I called an endo yesterday... I was asked who referred me... I told her that I don't need one with my insurance... No one refered me, she said well how did you find out about us, I'm like out of the book... She asked me why did I need an endo, I said I have PCOS... She said we need some of your records... Should it be that difficult to see one??? Or should I be able to pick one??? I thought as with other specialists I could pick one and they would run the necessary tests??? My gyn has never done anything more then a thyroid test every couple of yrs... Which comes out normal however I'm always on the pill when it is taken, and watching my carbs... I was matter of factly told I have PCOS in 1999 in an as if you didn't know way... I asked to be put on glucophage this past december due to lots of personal research, so she said in my office we put our patients on metformin... I agree'd since it was something different then BCP... Does this sound crazy??? I have a history of in my own personal thoughts of picking crappy gy's who don't have time...
