I have taken Prometrium for 2 diff. problems. The first time it was when I was HEAVILY bleeding and had cycled for 5 weeks straight, then I was told it was like a D&C in a pill.........well, I had the REAL D&C a few weeks later!!! So, not impressed!!! IT didn't stop my bleeding. Then, 2 yrs. later, I stopped cycles all together and then was given Prometrium 100mg twice a day for 10 days. Given this after an endometrial biopsy revealed hyperplasia. Well, I spotted and that was all. I am now, 7 months later, still not having a cycle. I am fixing to have a hysterectomy!!! :) YEAH :) ALL THESE yrs. of suffering either too much cycle or no cycle are fixing to be over!!!!!!! ( I will still treat the hyperinsulinemia! But, no more abnormal uterine bleeding!!!) I have my children, so this is an acceptable solution for us!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
