Yes, being on birth control can effect the hormone work you had done.
Have yourself tested for insulin resistance. If you have PCOS with
insulin resistance, to treat the PCOS unless you're trying to get
pregnant theyw ould put you on birth control. ...so you just have to
figure out if you have the other side of it, which it sounds like you
might..have them check your insulin levels and sugar levels.
