Aside from taking weight loss drugs which I would only use as a last resort, I would recommend she keep up her eating habits and excerscise habits she's had lately and go back on the glucophage. Maybe just take a lower dose that doesn't bother her gastrointestionally that may not be up to the amount dr's would recommend for her but it's better than nothing--maybe 500 to 250mg??

Give it a shot. The combination of good eating, excerscise, and glucophage should at least make SOME differences. If not, you might investigate a thyroid problem or something like that.
