Re: Low carb diet, etc.

In dealing with this "syndrome" for so long, and not knowing for so long, I have found that the only thing that really works in weight loss is the most evil word in our universe.... exercise. No, I don't do it, and I really should because I am 60 pounds over weight.

However about 9 years ago when I was going through a divorce and had little money for food anyway, I did have my gym membership that was already paid for. It helped worked out my stress from the divorce... but I also lost 65 pounds. I did not cut out sweets, carbs, or anything. I drank sugared tea (gag at water) all day long, I had a large cinnamon roll (.75c)from the hospital cafe every morning, and for lunch I had a hamburger (1.25)with mayo, tomato, and three cookies (1). For dinner, it was not diet food. I ate early, either a sandwich or I cooked for my daughter (including hamburger helper). (It was cheap)

Ladies, we can modify what we eat all we want, but with this disease, we have to burn the fat off manually. My husband even states that I don't eat much, but I cannot lose an ounce. I hate the word, I man really hate it, and this disease leaves with us no energy anyway, but it is like everything else in this "catch-22" disease. Exercise does give you energy, and the more you do it the better you feel... or so they tell us.

Just a few thoughts.
