SURPRISED!!! But worried too...From: Randi (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 29 Aug 2003 09:20:08 -0500 (CDT)
I have PCOS and already this year I have had two d&c's for unsuccessful pregnancies. I had decided to give it a rest and get on birth control, glucophage, and to try to lose weight and exercise. I took most of the birth control, except some of the last week. Earlier this week I started feeling sick to my stomach, for two days I thought it was a flu, then it happened another day, so just for the hell of it I took a pregnancy test. It was positive! I had bloodwork done yesterday and the nurse just called and said I was DEFINITELY pregnant and that my hormone levels were 20,000!!! I haven't had them this high during either of the pregnancies yet! I'm in complete shock! I'm being scheduled for an ultrasound, but I'm nervous, too, because of the two previous blighted ovums. I'm just hoping everything's okay with this baby. If anyone's got words of wisdom or have themselves become pregnant on birth control, please let me know! Thanks!
