Given Up

I have given up with PCOS. I was diagnosed about a year ago. I am 21. I have had all the symptoms and problems for a long time though. I was seeing an Endo for a while in the winter and I got fed up and frustrated with the whole process and was getting sick and tired of all the tests and everything that comes with PCOS. At first I was really kinda down about having it. Now I think of it as "oh well, I've had it since forever and never knew what it was so now that I know what it is why should I let it control my life and dwell on it". So now I live my life as I did before. Yeah, I choose to do things more carefully now such as eating and such but still, I rarely think of it. I'd love to be like I used to be in Jr. High School. Perfect body, no weird hair growth. But I gotta say, I don't miss having a period! So, for now I've decided to live my life as a 21 year old and focus on the good things in life and not to let my life be consumed with this disease and to not live in the drama of it all. I'm a full time college student, I've got a house of my own to take care of, I work full time plus, I don't need the headaches and crap that comes with dealing with PCOS. I basically ignore that I have it and don't let it define who I am. Probably not the smartest thing for me to do, but right now in my life, the best thing for me to do.
