Oh gosh, I know what you mean! I've never had to wear scrubs, but this is pretty much how I look in pajamas! I sew a lot of my own clothes, for exactly this reason (big belly) and it IS possible to adapt for this figure type. See if you can find someone who sews in your area, and they may be able to adjust a pattern for you. If there is a fabric store in your town, you could ask there for references. There are patterns in the major sewing books for scrubs and they are quick to make, I think. Also a good book for the person who sews for you is Barbara Deckert's "Sewing for Plus Sizes: Design, Fit, and Construction for Ample Apparel."
