Hi, I am 22 and was diagnosed PCOS a couple of years ago. 1 year ago I suffered from a twisted or ruptured cyst and the symptoms I displayed were extreme abdominal pain which although was terrible for a couple of hours settled to nothing after that and feeling sick. The pain was so intense though, that my Dr. sent me to hospital with suspected appendicitis as the pain and symptoms seemed very similar. After 3 days in hospital (with no pain at all after the initial couple of hours) all I was told is that a cyst had ruptured and it was fairly rare, unpredictable and not really anything to worry about. I have had no further episodes since and none of the medics seemed to believe there should be any cause for concern. Hope this may help you and its reassuring to hear that other people experience similar problems although I wish you good health in the future.
