I have alot of skin tags, they r un in my family and are also part of PCOS... I have one that developed about a year and a half ago in the crease between my behind and my leg, and it's recently become so inflamed that it's about hte size of a pencil eraser.. and BRIGHT pink/red.

I made an appt with a dermatologist (i've never been to one) to have it removed... has anyone had a skin tag removed, especially a larger or enflamed one? I didn't think to get it removed when it developed and was small because I figured it would sink away like the rest of them after a few months and reappear somewhere else, but it didn't.. now it's sore because of the friction and size, and I need to get it removed because it's rather unsightly against my pale skin..

I don't really know what to expect at the appointment in terms of removal or testing.. any advise is appriciated.
