PCOS Glucovance and Pregnant

I am 12 weeks pregnant (my only other child is 9 GOD HELP ME LOL), I have PCOS and have been on the Glucophage for around 3 years. My family doctor recently put me on Glucovance (glucophage and glyburide) because I am also diabetic. I don't have any concerns about the Glucophage being safe during pregnancy but I have my doubts about the Glyburide. My blood sugar goes very low into the low 40's often. I have told my OB about this and he assures me that it's safe to keep taking it. I guess I just need to be told by real people that it's safe. I just don't see how high blood sugar isn't good for developing fetus but low blood sugar is ok. Sometimes I think my OB is an idiot and just not listening to me.

Thanks for any suggestions or words of reassurance that any of you can provide.
