After almost two years with the signs and symptoms of PCOS...it took me changing to a new dr. to get someome to listen and review my medical file. Well, my wonderful new gyno....Dr. T. Johnson...she listened to me and saw the signs and symptoms that I have complained of and guess wehat she diagnoed me...is it weird but I feel relieved. The course of action is to get my period to start again...I haven't had one in 9 months! She said that I may be in ovarian failure and she prescribe provera, took me off the pill and told me that in January I will begin metformin. I can't tell you how good it felt today at my check up to find that she knew so much about PCOS and she is willing to help me. I really am thankful because I my other dr didn't think that the hair loss, weight gain, dark skin patches, lack of periods and ovarian cysts were connected. Thank God, my other dr. always thought that I was just depressed and stressed. I know that PCOS is not good, but at least she agrees with me. Never has bad news sounded good. I want to have a baby next year and she said that it will happen.
