Lots of questions...

I 've noticed that most of the participants on this board complain about irregular or *no* menstruation. My cycle is just extremely long, with very heavy bleeding for the first three days. I inculded a lot of my symptoms on my previous thread, but I wanted to list all that I could think of and conclude by asking: who here can relate? I would love to hear your experiences, and also how you best deal with PCOS.

Ok, here are mine:

Bloating when ovulating (For the past four years)

delayed periods (up to two weeks at times) (Since 1999)

Hypoglycemia. It sometimes gets so bad that unless I am perpetually snacking, I get low blood sugar. Other times, the hypoglycemia isn't so bad. Is this "normal"? (since adolescence)EVEN when I eat right!

Excess facial/abdominal hair. Very annoying! (since 1996)

Swollen lymph nodes once a month. Always in the underarms and breasts. They are painful. (Since 2000)

Inability to lose weight. Or at least, I lose it very, very slowly. My eating habits are extremely healthy. No red meats, lots of green veggies, fish, eggs, milk, complex carbs in moderation. All my weight gain is in my lower abdominal area.

Also, I've had some lab work done. My thyroid functions are normal. I have very, very high cholesterol (HD and the other kind:-)

I get headaches every now and then.

I get severe mood changes right before I have my period.

Frequent fatigue (since adolescence)

Difficulty conceiving.

Pain when ovulating!

And finally, anxiety and depression. This is either caused by the fact that I often feel yucky, or when "that time of the month" approaches.

I don't know if all of these symptoms are related. I think that anxiety and depression can magnify the symptoms and create new ones. Especially for someone like me, who is always fearing the worst.

It's getting late. Tomorrow I am going to call the Dr. and think of more things to write about.
