glucophage is affected by cimetidine (Tagamet, Tagamet HB) or ranitidine (Zantac, Zantac 75). (See WebMD)

When I complained of worse AR symptoms to my doc after starting Metformin, he suggested taking 1 pill before my morning meal (500 mg) and 2 before my evening meal, giving the acid in my stomach a chance to calm down. It worked.
