Hi Missy,
Click here and send the doctor here while you're at it to find out info
on PCOS , what tests need done and what you insulin levels should be
http://www.inciid.org/faq/pcos.html
Quck question. Were you low carbing when you had your blood tests
done??? This can effect your numbers. There is no actual test for
PCOS/IR. The test they use is for diabetes and they look for numbers
that are in the high range of normal. If you were low carbing, you
numbers may be lower than they would be if say you had seen eating a
bunch of refined foods for the days leading up to the test. If you are
retested, eat a bunch of "bad carbs" 2-3days prior to the test. If you
have an insulin issue, this should put stress on your system and it
should show up in the test. If you arent, it wont make any difference.

PS: When they say no food for 8 hours, they mean it. No Food, no gum,
no toothpaste or coffee. Also, try to keep your fasting time to 8-10
hours. I am telling you this stuff because my doctor never menti0oned
any of this to me and I had to be tested twice, the numbers were greatly
changed by following the rules.
