For the last few months he's been telling me that he does believe I have PCOS, todays appointment confirmed it but my insulin levels are completely normal and he said he wanted to look up information on normal insulin levels with PCOS, does anyone else have this and have normal insulin levels? (When they first found out they had it) The only thing that was not normal on my blood tests were the hormone levels, and my ultrasound came back last year showing a cyst and this time it came back showing I believe my doctor said something about follicles something not cysts. Also he said that with most cases of PCOS he doesn't see the "normal" PCOS cysts. The thing I don't get is why he's taking so long if he's sure this is what I have, 2 weeks ago he said because my insulin levels were normal he wanted to look into it more because that wasn't normal, (one thing I've learned is that if its not normal most times I will have it lol) but then I go back today and I don't think he looked yet lol. But he's talking about putting me on Metformin, is anyone thats on this have any comments about it? I'm just curious about it all I just turned 24 and have been going through these tests since I turned 23. Also, with the Metformin (if you have been taking it) has anyone had a decreased amount of hair growth (facial, or any other) or did you have to get another medication for the hair growth? I guess I'm just curious for other peoples input since my doctor (at least on this visit) was very vague (he was 45 minutes behind and rushed) so, if you have any input I would appreciate it!

Thanks! -Missy
