Hi,

I was wondering, have you ever had your insulin levels tested? Some of those tests that you had may not necessarily be positive, even if you do have PCOS. I have it and the only thing so far they can find wrong with me on tests is a fasting insulin of 116 (normal is between 0 and 20-but that also varies among different experts). That can cause lots of problems. I have been on metformin to help with that now for just under 6 weeks and started my period last week on my own for the first time in forever. I have lost 5 pounds, my acne has cleared up, my facial hair is much better, and I have a lot more energy-enough so that I enrolled in nursing school and started last week too! I am not an expert and don't claim to be but that is what has helped me. It is just a simple fasting blood test that has helped me tremendously.

Good luck with your endeavours-and don't get distressed-you WILL get this thing figured out. You just have to be persistent and optimistic not matter what any "doctors" say. Alyssa:-)
