I may be a male, but i have the same problem. I am starting to believe it is of allergic characteristic. I can trigger this inflammation by eating Cinnamon chewing gum. Also, much use of SALT will also trigger such a reaction. IE: McDonalds. Within 12 hours, my entire tongue will be coated in these painful irritations, with no cure other than the wait that is associated with natural healing. I've discovered the Chloraseptic provides a moments relief. I would note: I also have issues with constant canker sores.
