Re: Side Affects

Hi,
I too have been diagnosed with PCOS and hypothyroidism. I have been
diagnosed with PCOS for several years and have gone through all of the
infertility treatments and was successful with two pregnancies. I was
then put on Glucophage/Metformin for PCOS. I had pretty good success
and felt better. My hair thickened up, the facial hair slowed a little,
I was able to lose a few pounds, etc. In February, I started gaining
weight again, even though I am basically not eating much. I have gained
15 pounds, started losing my hair again, been so fatigued I can hardly
go. I finally went to my regular MD who found out my B12 is low and I
have hypothyroidism. I am having thyroid scan next week, and then will
start meds. I am wondering if I will go back to my previous weight
after I start the synthroid meds. Does anyone know? I am so depressed
because I was working to hard to lose the weight I did. My best friend
has lost 25 pounds dieting with me, and I gained 15! It is so
depressing. I was doing weight watchers until all of this fatigue
started. I guess I am just feeling sorry for myself. I have noticed
that since I have been on the Glucophage/Metformin, I have started
sweating more and feel hotter a lot. I am not sure at this point if my
symptoms are PCOS or hypothyroidism. My periods had returned until the
first of this year. I am assuming the Glucophage was not effective
anymore because of the development of hypothyroidsm. I also developed
endometrial hyperplasia in Jan and had a D&C. I feel like I am falling
apart. Thanks for letting me vent.
