Hi Jules,
groups.yahoo.com/group/pcos-nz/ is a yahoo group for NZ PCOS sufferers.
You might get some more local information from them. There are a lot of
reasons for pelvic pain, and the severity of the pain you describe is
indicative of endometriosis. Endometriosis is only diagnosed through a
lap. Your doc may be on the right track. However, there are a lot more
treatments for the pcos, like glucophage, that you could discuss with
your doc. A trip to an endocrinologist might also be a good idea. Just
keep reading and learning, search all the websites you can. You are in
charge of your healthcare, and you can get active in those choices.
Let us know how it goes, we are all here to help.
Luck, SusieQ
