I would be happy to answer you questions but if you answer my questions back I may be able to help you even more. 1)a) I was diagnoses when I was about 17. I was only having a few periods a year, had acne and hirsutism but no insulin resistance and normal weight. b)You need to have a certain amount of fat on your body in order to produce enough hormones so you may need to gain more weight. How much do you actually weigh and how tall are you? Do you exercise or restrict you diet? I am a fitness fanatic and probably exercised my body fat too low. 2)If you in fact need injectable like I did, the side effects vary depending on the drug, but they are similar to Clomid in that they do put you at risk for hyperstimulation. 3)I did in fact have to gain almost 4 kilos in order to become a candidate for fertility drugs. My body fat was low enough to suppress all my hormones so that I had hypothalamic amenorrhea (meaning no periods due to shut down of my hypothalamus). Once I gained weight my PCOS came back and I was able to start with the drugs to try to conceive. A few questions for you now: 1) Did you ever have normal periods? How were you diagnosed with PCOS? Do you have any other symptoms other than no periods? 2) Do you exercise, restict your diet, or under a lot of stress? 3)Any other info about your medical history would be helpful. Hope this helps.
