definitely show the doctor all the literature you can and if your doctor doesn't refer you to an endo find another one. I am shocked with your gynocologist. You should find a new gyno. My gyno ran blood tests and did an ultrasound, diagnosed me with pcos and diabetes and sent me to my family doctor, but he put me on metformin before I went to the family doctor. I also had a bad gyno and I hadn't had a period for 3 years and was also told to enjoy it and a year and a half later got seriously ill and bled for 8 months straight with no break. There are some ignorant doctor's out there. Try and talk to friends and family and ask who they use and what they think of them. My friend referred me to her gyno which is the one who diagnoses me and I was told I was headed in a bad place and almost needed dialysis. Thank god for my new gyno. My family doctor has me on 3 more meds too and is trying to find a endo for me. Keep in mind that it takes about three months to get into an endo so make sure your doctor starts on it right away. Medical referrals are so stupid because there are people who die waiting for their medical referral. Just keep on the doctor, and I'm no doctor but you seem to have alot of the signs of pcos. I am also 30 years old. I read that if you have more than 3 signs of pcos than you probably have pcos. good luck.If you want to talk you can E-mail me at gloomygrumpalump@yahoo Michelle --- Amy <anonymous@obgyn.net> wrote: > I believe that I have PCOS and I have been to my
