Re: Vitex, Met and ttc -- to Sonnet

*thinks* I BELIEVE the increase was prescribed by my endo just because I wasn't seeing really fabulous results on 1500mg (some results granted, just not magically cured or anything) and because my insulin related symptoms were so severe (years of hypoglycemia for example, not to mention I weighed nearly 400lbs.) I usually am pretty good with keeping records of all my bloodwork and I don't remember him testing my fasting insulin around that time, so my guess would be just based on symptoms. I do know that after being on the higher dose for about 6 months and seeing quite a bit of improvement I had a fasting insulin done and it came back at 15, so that makes me wonder how high it was when I was on 1500mg, or worse yet without treatment at all!

The prescribing info from BMS does say to slowly increase the dose, as long as your tummy can handle it, until you see a reduction in symptoms. So maybe that's all my endo was doing. *shrug* I'm just happy he did it, it's been such a turnaround for me!
