Re: Anyone with PCOS plus ENDOMETRIOSISFrom: SusieQ (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 5 Aug 2003 14:37:23 -0500 (CDT)
Hi Anonymous, I have both. I will be going in for my 4th lap very soon. A lot of the symptoms are the same for both diseases, so I have found it helpful to keep a medical diary. That has helped me to deal with each of the symptoms. For instance, am I tired because I ate something with sugar (which means it's the IR) or because I overexerted myself over a long period doing housework (that's the Endo)? The pain from the Endo is very different than any other pain, so that's a no brainer. I can predict when I am going to feel lousy (like right before/during a period) and when I should be feeling better. I always plan to go out and do "normal" activities during the good week. Infertility is a major issue with both diseases. I have two normal healthy kids, so don't give up hope. If you are open to the idea, there are wonderful children available for adoption. That is a personal choice you will have to consider when the time is right. Keep doing research on both diseases, and you will find answers that work for you. We can't cure everything, but it will get easier to cope. Let us know how things go, we are all here to listen. luck, SusieQ
