Jaymie, yes it is true pregnancy and the whole hormone levels rising and falling, but with really good oral care on your part and your dentist it should be able to be controlled. receeding gums don't just happen over nite, like I've said in past postings many things contribute to receeding gums.. always use a soft toothbrush, waxed floss(flossing at least once a day with the proper technique) as well as the proper brushing tech. of course if left untreated or cared for it will eventually be untreatable and one could lose a tooth or more.. did your dentist offer any advice?
